Rachel Rosner

Rachel Rosner

Research Specialist

Rachel Rosner was a Research Associate and project manager at the CJTC. She has a background in community and regional development with a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Rachel has also been a board member of the Ecological Rights Foundation since 1996. In the past, she served as the Associate Director for the Social Change Across Borders Summer Institute, which brought together Latino and Latin American community leaders for collaboration and training around issues of transnational organizing.

Prior to UCSC, she worked with the United Farm Workers in Texas managing the Farm Worker Health Project and later in California as their Research Director. Previously, as the Coordinator of Community Partnerships at the Service Learning Institute of California State University-Monterey Bay, she helped to develop curriculum that connects academic courses with the surrounding underserved communities. She is an Associate with Matrix Consulting, a technical assistance group that works with diverse community based organizations in a variety of areas including facilitation, organizational development, and assessment. Other interest areas include transnational organizing, environmental justice, and the digital divide.
