Jackie Agnello graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2004 with a degree in Sociology. While a student, she came to us through a collaboration between the CJTC and the Global Information Internship Program (GIIP). After relocating to Los Angeles, she joined Manuel Pastor's team at USC's Center for Sustainable Cities.

Interested in working with women migrant workers in the Philippines, Jackie was also a member of the Filipino Student Association. She participated in various activities, but spent most of her time working on the Philipino Cultural Celebration performing traditional folk dance. Jackie was also a co-coordinator of A Step Forward, an outreach program that promotes diversity in higher education.

During her time at the CJTC she provided support for projects like Women As Social Warriors, Binational Health Week in Santa Cruz, and a Conversation on Regional Equity (CORE). She also helped to coordinate large public events like The Dr. Martin Luther King Convocation and CJTC's Spring Speakers.
