Tony LoPresti

Organizer

Tony LoPresti was an Organizer and Research Assistant with CJTC focusing on Globalizing Civil Society from the Inside-Outand other projects. He also worked to develop popular education resources and methods for community-based organizations looking to engage the debate around globalization.
Tony is co-founder of La Red Revision Project, a non-profit organization that supports women-run artisan cooperatives in southern Mexico and Guatemala. As a student at UC Santa Cruz, he helped coordinate a successful initiative to commit all campus facilities to serving Fair Trade coffee. He also worked on a collaborative campaign to generate these conversions at other campuses in California. Tony graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in Latin American and Latino Studies.

Currently, Tony is working as an organizer for the Environmental Health Coalition in San Diego.
