United State Social Forum
An information gateway for US groups interested in participating in the US Social Forum process and for groups outside the United States to keep up to date on progress of the US movement. In the tradition of the World Social Forum begun in Brasil five years ago, the US Social Forum initiative will work to create a space for US-based organizations to come together to exchange experiences and strengthen alliances among mass organizations, people’s movements and civil society organizations. A social forum is meant to provide space for groups to share strategies and tactics for creating a world based on principles rooted in social justice instead of mere profit.
